Volunteers assist our F2SF Educators with program set up, encouraging students’ curiosity and positive behavior during the lesson, and program clean up. Volunteers are given specific tasks to help set student expectations and learning. Programs are typically at an elementary school.
We’re inviting two new members to join our Board of Directors as Chair and Vice Chair. As our organization grows, we’re looking for experienced leaders who care deeply about local food access, Frederick County farmers, and hands-on food education. This is a meaningful opportunity to help guide our next chapter and expand our impact.
Join our Development Committee and help connect our community to fresh, local food and the farmers who grow it. Members support fundraising by building relationships, sharing our story, and expanding our network of supporters. Bring your passion—we’ll support the rest.
Volunteering involves picking up fresh produce and delivering to one or more designated locations in Frederick County. Volunteers also assist with picking up any empty bins from previous deliveries and returning as required.
NOTE: Delivery drivers must be able to lift 45 lbs. and complete a training prior to beginning deliveries.
Help make fresh, local food more accessible by volunteering at Tuesday afternoon or Saturday morning farmers markets. You’ll assist with Maryland Market Money and help customers have a smooth, welcoming experience. No experience needed—we’ll show you everything you need to know.
Volunteers are vital for assisting customers, keeping our fresh, local produce stocked, bagging produce, and making set up and take down a breeze. Ability to lift 40 pounds is a plus, but not necessary.
